2. Data we collect
Account data
When you create an account, Camera_DATA collects:
- your email address, used to sign in and communicate with you;
- a display name or username, visible to other users where you choose to share content;
- authentication information required to keep your account secure.
Collection data
When you add cameras, lenses or kits to your collection, Camera_DATA stores the information you provide, including:
- items marked as owned, wishlisted or sold;
- purchase details, condition notes and personal photos you upload;
- ratings, scores and notes associated with your items;
- kits you create and choose to share publicly or keep private.
Preferences
Camera_DATA stores preferences you set on the website, such as language, active filters, display mode and card size preferences, to provide a consistent experience across visits.
3. How your data is used
Your data is used only to provide and improve the Camera_DATA service:
- to authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- to display and manage your collection, kits and preferences;
- to process subscription payments through Stripe;
- to monitor the website's visibility in Google Search via Google Search Console;
- to communicate with you about your account when necessary.
Camera_DATA does not sell your personal data and does not use it for personalised advertising.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Camera_DATA also uses local and session storage where necessary for authentication, account security, preferences, operation of the service and secure payment processing.
Camera_DATA does not currently use advertising or audience measurement cookies. If audience measurement or marketing tools are introduced later, a consent banner will be added before activation.

Managing cookies

Third-party services
Some functions rely on third-party providers, particularly Stripe for payments. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply when you interact with those services.
5. Payment processing (Stripe)
Subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe. Camera_DATA does not store your full payment card details. Stripe may use cookies necessary to process transactions, maintain security and prevent fraud.
6. Google Search Console
Camera_DATA uses Google Search Console solely to monitor indexing and visibility in Google Search. It provides aggregated information and is not used to track how individual visitors navigate Camera_DATA.
7. Data retention
Your account and collection data are kept for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts or content are removed from the active database, subject to legal retention obligations where applicable.
8. Your rights
You may access and correct your personal data, update your collection and preferences, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent for optional processing. To exercise these rights, contact camera.data7@gmail.com.
9. Access, modification and deletion
You can modify or delete collection data directly from your profile. For full account deletion or a specific request, contact camera.data7@gmail.com.
10. Changes to this policy
Camera_DATA may update this policy when features, services or legal requirements change. The date at the top indicates the latest update.
